Our Journey Towards A Sustainable Future
We firmly believe that being a responsible, sustainable business is not just a choice but a fundamental part of the future of our industry.
We've dedicated the past few years to exploring the path towards a more sustainable future. We've engaged in research and conversations with other sustainability-driven members of our industry. Through these efforts, we've identified key areas of focus for us as a manufacturer and our products, including responsible sourcing, carbon reduction, circular economy adoption, and material considerations.
We firmly believe that being a responsible, sustainable business is not just a choice but a fundamental part of the future of our industry. As a leader in our field, we aspire to champion the path to sustainability, going beyond mere compliance and setting a standard for responsible practices.
Our sustainability strategy is aligned with the need to be a responsible supplier of products for our industry. We have three key sustainability objectives:
- Addressing Climate Change: We are committed to achieving Net Zero emissions across all three scopes, reducing our carbon footprint, and offering a greener product portfolio.
- Embracing the Circular Economy: We are transitioning to a circular economy, designing out waste in our products and operations, using recycled materials, and prioritising responsible end-of-life practices.
- Championing Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: We are dedicated to fostering diversity and embedding equity and inclusion into our workforce.
Through this, we have achieved several significant milestones, including receiving the Silver EcoVadis certification, adopting a zero-waste-to-landfill approach, using 100% renewable energy, and launching a Supplier Sustainability Program aimed at decarbonising our upstream value chain.
As we move forward into this sustainable future, we are committed to providing insights and solutions that contribute to the broader mission of building a sustainable world while maintaining the highest standards of fire safety.
Our journey towards sustainable products also addresses the entire carbon footprint, which includes operational efficiency, embodied carbon from materials and production processes, and indirect carbon caused by fire systems in cases such as false alarms. We've implemented a supplier sustainability program to reduce the embodied carbon footprint, collaborated with suppliers to promote sustainability, and developed a sustainability checklist to guide design engineers.
We are evaluating every aspect of our products' lifecycle and supply chain to lead the conversation about sustainability within the fire detection and alarm systems industry.
